The Einstein Flu Campaign is managed through LiveWell Employee Health Services.
For any of your flu questions, please e-mail EinsteinFluTeam@einstein.edu.
With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it's more important than ever to do everything we can to reduce the spread of respiratory illness, like the flu, this fall and winter. Flu vaccination has been shown to significantly reduce the risk of getting the seasonal flu and is the primary means for preventing seasonal influenza. As a healthcare organization, it's critical that all employees and physicians are vaccinated against influenza (flu) before flu season starts. Vaccines protect you, your family, your coworkers, our patients, and their families.
Having all of Einstein's team members receive a seasonal influenza vaccination remains a critical part of our patient safety program and is consistent with our Code of Conduct. Additional information regarding influenza can be found on the CDC website.
Einstein Healthcare Network will offer single-dose, quadrivalent, preservative and latex free formulas. Our standard vaccine is Fluzone (Urban and Suburban Core), which will be available at all clinic sessions. It is an intramuscular (IM) injection administered into the deltoid (upper arm) muscle.
Alternate vaccines (Fluzone High-Dose/65 years and older, and Flublock [egg free]) are in limited quantity and dispensed on a first come, first serve basis in the LiveWell Employee Health Centers only. Please specify at the time of check-in if you are seeking the Flublok or High Dose/65 alternative; as you may be required to complete an additional questionnaire.
Fluzone HD (High Dose) - Intramuscular (IM) Injection - higher dose for persons 65 and over, standard needle, injected into the deltoid muscle
Flublok PFS - Intramuscular (IM) Injection - egg-free formula, standard needle, injected into the deltoid muscle
